Lesson learned: never buy CV Joints from Autozone. They seemed fine out of the box, but once installed made a horrible grinding noise during left turns. Had to swap in the old axel during my 4th of July camping trip in the middle of no where. So I'm back to overhauling my old joints and have found that I can rotate them a degree or two around the axel. Is this OK, or should the joints be completely stiff and only flex to allow rotation of the entire assembly? http://gallery.openfbo.com/cvjoints/img_3655 Thanks, Matt |
