I would call and talk with the people at SurePower or Brian at small cars since you have a subie. We both spent quite a bit of time with no luck. If you've got a pep-boys in your area they stock a few models. When you speak with Surepower have the make and model of the alternator handy. I bought mine through <http://www.smithae.com/surepower.html> smith auto electric. The owner jim was really helpful and although we couldn't get it to work properly he sent me 2 units and spent time calling the manufacturer and me. Highly recommend them.
