A razor blade and warm soapy water should be sufficient to remove the
tint. You may be able to simply peel it off in sheets. If not, the soapy
water and razor will do it. Careful with the scraping however. Glass IS
NOT as hard as you jight think, and you can scratch it with the razor
blade.

Again warm soapy water and a razor blade. works wonders. You might even
want to use a heat gun but you REALLY have to be careful on the
defroster strips.
