i like the line "to be honest, i'd not mention the modifications...you'll get a much higher price". in other words "to be honest, i'd be dishonest".

I got a response from Pop Top Heaven today. As Kim Brennan predicted they are indicating that my modifications lower the value of my syncro. As a favor to all list members I therefore invite all listees with non stock equipment such as a Gary Lee rack, decoupler, syncro 16 fender flares, shady boy awning, etc. to remove the offending equipment and forward it to me. For the mere price of postage (paid by you) I will install it on my van so that your resale vale is no longer effected.

Patrick asked me to contact you regarding valuation of your vehicle. I originally told him about a buyer interested at $6000. If it weren't modified, we'd consider offering you more and buying it ourselves. It's obvious you know your Syncros, but our buyers want original equipment. It's a bit of a cult following J

I don't want to waste your time, and I feel you'll do much better on eBay or another online source. To be honest, I'd not mention the modifications...you'll get a much higher price.

Best, Chris

Its a syncro full westy and you've seen the mileage and equipment list, would you sell for $6,000? If you would I will gladly take as many syncro westies as you can provide in similar condition at that price.

Your website says "Click here to determine the value of your vehicle" and "Click the link above or to the right to get a FREE valuation of your vehicle!" it does not say click here to get a list of current bidders. I am not going to start this process by revealing what I think it is worth... that is not a valuation.
