Today I finally did something I have been meaning to do for years, and that is make an adapter for my JackAll so that it will fit the jack points on the Vanagon.

The lifting "tongue" on the JackAll is no long enough to fit under the van without the vertical portion of the jack rubbing against the body (it just works on a loaf however).

So I made an adapter similar to what later model Landrover owners have. Its just a 4" long bit of box section (2" X 3", 1/8" wall) steel upon which I welded the male part of the stock bilstein jack (the part that goes into the jack point on the van, I used the entire length, cut right at the screw). A 3/8" hole was drilled though the box section to match up with the hole under the flat portion of the JackAll lifting "tongue".

The box section slips over the JackAll "tongue" and a 3/8" stainless bolt (with nylock nut) secures it.

It works like a charm.
