Steven the relay mod setup is the same on all vanagons, i didnt touch my stock fridge relay. I used a BIG relay that is controlled by my key ingition switch via fusebox. i ran beefy wire connecting the two batterys separated by the relay switch. Basically, I copied Sean B's design and he has a passenger v'gon like yours. Go to his website google "Sean B Tiico" great pics and data.
