Recardo, I said my AC "was running out of Freon", not OUT. I have no idea what caused the situation, but I did observe my mechanic the entire 15 min. he worked on it. First, he removed some panel exposing the ac (evaporator?) and checked all around and concluded that the drain hoses were fine [caveat: when I had my engine fire over a year ago it melted all those hoses then, so the mechanic had replaced them all back then--thats why he probably was quick to conclude that it wasn't the hoses] Then he recharged the system and I have been driving with AC on ever since with no problem.
