It's been a while since I intereacted with the List. Since the last time nothing much has changed with the van...it's still sitting there in the apartment parking lot hoping it's worthless owner will finally get it back on the road again. Won't be long till a year has gone by since the 3/4 slider went snap and I'm plagued yet again with the questions of fix it or sell it. Bottom line is if I could get enough out of it to make a serious dent on my debts ($1800 neighborhood) I'd probably just sell it. But for all I know a Vanagon with a bad tranny may be worth a few box of rocks! So would anyone care to wager how much a van like mine might be worth out there to a fellow nut? It's got a few distinguishing features like... 2 owner van with all records and I mean ALL records since purchased at the dealer. Less than 6,000 miles on the 1.9 boxer, belts, hoses, brakes, a/c (cold!) and tires (original spec) Oh yeah it's a weekender too. The only thing wrong is the transmission but I've never been able to fix it (money).

I hope this post isn't too annoying seeing as how I don't have any pictures...but then again I'm not exactly offering it for sell, just wondering what a sick but otherwise great van is worth.

Thanks a bunch, Chris in Nashville 85 gl weekender

BTW, I was up in Belfast, ME a few weeks ago and saw more Vanagons that I had ever seen my entire life...mostly synchros!
