When I was still down in San Francisco (up in Eureka, CA now) I organized a bus campout down at Big Basin, right in the middle of all the thick redwoods. There were both baywindows as well as some nice Vanagons that showed up.

I had registered SFBaywindows.com to promote it back then, but Ive since moved to Minnesota, then back to Northern California and let the website lapse, not to mention now own a Vanagon.

email me back sometime if you really want to work on organizing an event, id be more than happy to help get another one going, not to mention all of the amazing spots ive been finding around here (were only 4 hours north from you!)

The campgrounds up here dont fill as quickly, it should be pretty easy to find a nice big group spot (I already have a few places in mind, mostly BLM locations = cheap!)

best, cr
