Subject: Not another ETKA part request
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Greetings all.

Since my ETKA just don't want to work on my Home XP machine. I am asking some kind soul to look up a part number for me.

I recently put some 15" Mercedes Wheels on my 91 Van. Fit perfectly but that's another story. After trying all sorts of aftermarket dress rims hubcaps I settled on a set of original VW covers I am told they came from either an Australian imported Golf or Passat vehicle 2000 vintage?.

The part no as stamped on the rear of the cover is 3B0 601 147 D. Also quite near is another stamping PA 6.6 M15. What I like about them is the moulded VW emblem insert on the covers

Also a quick question. Are the metal dust caps or bearing covers that sit on the front wheel stub axles absolutely necessary. The reason I ask is that these covers protrude too far out and prevent the wheel hubcaps from fitting snugly on the rims. As a result I have lost one cover already on the front wheel,

Waiting on some kind soul to reply
