I have replaced the A/C fuse holder every year I have had the Camper. I replaced the original wire with a #6 and now use the large ANL style 60-amp fusel the latest style fuse holder is glass typically used on the amplifier supply wiring for high-power car audio systems; so far, so good. The fuse holder typically melts before the fuse blows.

Good luck,

Tim

So I replaced the terminal, cleaned everything up on both connectors, cleaned the grounds and tightened all the connections.

These two terminals and the 50 amp fuse link still run really hot. Anyone checked these (with a/c running obviously)? Is this the norm or do I have another problem?

How much current is flowing here normally?

I ran the A/C for about 1/2 hour after repairing the wiring, with no problem other than hot supply wires.

Here's a photo of my overheated terminal before replacement -
