Ben,

I got an extension custom made.  Here's a pic:

On the left, a stainless braided line surrounds a teflon tube.
The end of that has a flare fitting with a captive nut of unknown
threads.  Next along is an adapter to get me male M10, then a
female to female M10 for the sender.
