Hi all
i did a motor swap on my 85 westi. compression is good. fired and drove to shut up the lifters. timing is perfect as with idle and all but choppy. used my laser
pointer temp gauge and found that cylinder #1 and #3 are running much colder then 2 and 4. i sent out my spare injectors from a previous motor/van purchase
to have flow benched and rebuilt and have not gotten them back yet. i swapped out the ECU and it runs the same with no changes at all. once you step it off of
idle it seems to hit on all 4.
so the question is:

** if the injectors are partially plugged will they drop off and not idle and run great though the range??
** did i miss something?
** this motor has the syndrome fix with a cap
** all intake and injector and all seals are new and no black exhaust like an air leak or anything like that.

i only have the injectors from the 84 vanagon that is running great i could steal them off for now and put the rebuilds on the 84 when they come in. with only 21k
on the van.
if anyone can answer these questions i will be checking back in a few. ive got my bentley under my arm and im heading to the pole barn to try and trigger the
injectors to see if they give me some fuel in my face or not. thanks i dont want to go and sleep on the ground in a tent. thanks Jonce
