Recently, when I made inquiries as to why Casita mini travel trailers was experiencing such rapid growth I was advised that most units of both Casita and Scamp were being shipped out to the US Army at a variety of locations worldwide for temporary quarters for both Civilian Workers and Military Personnel. http://www.casitatraveltrailers.com/home.html Casita is located near Corsicana Texas and I drive by it often. (70 miles from Dallas on Interstate 45 South) They have about ten acres of land area and about 45,000 square feet of manufacturing building. In recent months I've seen several hundred completed units staged and ready for shipment. It is very apparent that they now have several hundred employees when before in years past it looked like thirty people ran the whole operation. http://www.scamptrailers.com/ All this means nothing right now but when the Middle East, Afghanistan and Iraq situations settle down these trailers are going to be a cheap commodity at Government Auctions and other companies liquidating their surplus assets. It might just be that the trailers never return to the US at all and are destroyed or sold off as salvage where they currently reside. So you say! So what Stan? I just thought you might have a general interest in how your Tax Dollars are being spent.
