It is time to do both a compression and leak down test. You may have worn cam lobes for cylinders 1 and 3. This is fairly common. If these two cylinders have lower compression than 2-4 and the leak down test is good, worn lobes. It can still run a long time like this. Oil on the spark plugs can also be worn intake guides, overfilled crankcase, (effects front cylinders first due to engine tilt) or a more serious ring-piston problem. Again the leak down test will tell all.

Ok Now ive spent the better half of 2 hours proding around and trying to find out its issues. heres what i did *checked all wires to plugs and injectors *tried 3rd ECU still ran the same * pulled plugs and replaced carboned up plugs in 1-3 cylinders, 2-4 looked had good burn and put back * pulled injectors and pushed gently on center to see if fuel would come out and it did, then made sure they all shot fuel couldnt check pattern but fuel was there. may need to check valve adjustment * sprayed carb cleaner looking for air leaks * reseated injectors and checked for leaks * am i correct in thinking the firing order is still 1-4-3-2 and #1 cylinder is passanger side front of bus and on cap the little dash mark is #1and #3 is driver side front of bus, and firing order is clock wise from #1 on the dissy. correct? * properly checked timing and adjusted air bypass screw to make it run more oker( its late) not sure what else to do maybe subaru makes a pancake motor gotta run will check again tomarrow. c-ya Jonce
