Sorry about the link. It is www.vanagonauts.com. I checked it ,but no advice about water pump replacement is there.Sorry. When I removed my old pump, I had the same machineing you described. It allows leakage of cooled water with a bit of warm water(I think).Less efficency,might be a problem with a/c in the hottest weather.I repaired mine with , what else, but jb weld. Ta Da!!!!I sanded the aluminum surface till rough, and then cleaned it up with mineral spirits. I pressed a lump of the afore mentioned weld into the crevace and allowed this oversized piece to set up. When set, I used a full sized file to flatten the product to the correct size.I used the surface of the engine case as the guide. When I began to cut metal with the file, I was done.Perfect fit.No problems. This was last March, I think. |
