If your waterpump has gone south to the point that you are tellng your mechanic about it, better stop driving it till you get your bus depot water pump in the mail.I understand the replacement is about $600.In addition to this price, if you keep driving with a bad pump, the pump will grind the case away where it will have to be repaired too.Big replacement job, but can be done by you if you know a few things about mechanics, and have the time.Search the archives to get a feeling of how this repair goes. Tom Carrington has a article about this. I would compare that to any other articles you can get. Try www.vanagonrescuesquad.com . They may have this a write up under BTDT. |
