i am about to finish with my fuel delivery system overhaul. i installed new hoses all around and sent my injectors out to cruizinperformance to get serviced. they are coming back today and i am excited to put everything back together this weekend since i have not been able to go surfing since i first pulled my van apart 2 weekends ago. it seems more than prudent to perform a fuel pressure "leak down" test once i reassemble everything. i am aware that several FLAPS sell relatively enexpensive (~$50) mechanical fuel pressure gauges, so i am wondering if anyone has any experience in this realm. it seems likely that whatever gauge i can find will come with a non metric fitting that will not fit my fuel hose. however, i am hoping to complete this job tonight or tomorrow and would not like to wait for some little adapter fitting to be special ordered. does anyone know of a readily available gauge (and adapter, if necessary) that will fit my 8mm fuel hose? (yeah, i know it isn't 7mm... but this is what volkcafe sells and i trust them). thanks. Ben. |
