Cheap is the word of note here, I suspect cheap doesn't exist in  the
VW world anymore.

I look. Ok, so it needs an engine. I've built  several 40hp motors and
the '71 dual port... how hard can it be these days?  Then I looked
today at the prices. Things have changed since I did that  last 1600dp in '88!

I'll keep looking, something will work out. It's  really time I was
driving a VW to work again.
Anyone want to buy an '85  Jeep Cherokee? There will be a 'for sale'
sign in the window  tomorrow.

Yes, In 95 I paid $3500 for my 85.
But then, since, I've put another $15,000 into it!
