Rob, No opinion on the VW Reman Bus Depot is selling, but I wouldn't recommend the AVP Rebuilt they sell and what I currently have in the Haus. Bottom Line ... IMO .... it costs $500 less for a reason. In spite of Ron trying to help ... I had a nightmare dealing with AVP on a warranty issue. In the end, they made a fair settlement ... but it was a grueling, demeaning process. Boston Bob Engines ... have to admit to being a fan, proven track record, with few exceptions over a long period of time. Concerning GoWesty engines .... I have to admit to being a skeptic but have yet to find an unsatisfied customer. Although too early to tell, many more miles needed to prove reliability, but so far .... they seem to have some happy campers. If anyone out there knows of a bad experience with one of their engines ... I'd really like to hear about it. Subject: Bus Depot Rebuilt 2.1L - opinions?

I'm >>thinking<< about replacing my engine. So, does anyone have any inf= o or opinion on the rebuilt motor being sold by Bus Depot? <http://www.busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=3D025100771VW> http://www.busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=3D025100771VW

The GoWesty engine is $700 more plus a core charge ($1000) -- but it sure=

looks good on paper.

Any info appreciated......

-Robert
