folks..did your SO back into that pole at the gas station? or sideswipe your lower slider door knocking the sideskirts off? well dont chuck them... i will fix them for you...

i do fiberglass bumper repair on the side..send me yours i'll fix it, and send it back to you..or i will sell you a good one in exchange for your damaged piece, if its repairable, or i'll sell you one outright..if yours isnt fixable or if its missing...

i also have full fiberglass bumper/bodykits for sale, if anyone is interested to adding these to their earlier vanagon. i put a full bodykit on my '84 and it looks sharp.

i go thru the bumpers/skirts..clean them up, any crack is professionally repaired with fiberglass cloth and resin from behind, then repaired with fiberglass filler on the front, then smoothed and spot coated, and shot in primer..ready for your topcoat. repairs are stronger than new.

why do i want to do this on a exchange basis (if possible)? its because of this. the fiberglass bumpers/skirts are not being made anymore. the only place you can get them new is from VWOA remaining warehouse stock. and they are $$$$. when that stock is depleted, thats it. nobody is reproducing these, and the market is so small, nobody will. winkler from germany had repro'd these back in the 80's, but the fit and finish was so sub-par that the few US distributors of their products dont bother importing that item anymore. there was no way to attach it to the van, other than gluing them on. not to diss Wilkler, but i have owned a few winkler products before..and i was not able to use them wi thout major modification. those of you who have owned some know what im talking about. anyway, the OEM VW bodykit uses the bracket system, which makes them easily removeable.

anyway i do have misc fiberglass bumpers and sideskirts for sale, as well as complete bodykits..

email me if interested..if yours is damaged - send me a pic of the damage and i'll tell you weather or not i can fix it..

thanks chris se pa
