Jim, I would not say a "group 41" per se is a "starting" battery. There are battery shops that heavy plated batteries in the group 41 case. I picked one up from a battery shop here a couple years ago that weighed in HEAVY and had 885 CCA and was sold to me as a deep cycle.

I ruined it by not isolating it from a cheap starting battery in the passenger well. Next time I will use the relay.
