Folks,

Firs of all thank you to all that responded. I enjoyed all he comments from the kind to the pithy. Regarding the "poor bastard" comment - no worries I took that as it was intended.

So any rate, to the task. After reading the comments I ended up taking Mr. Ricardo's advice and it seems to be working just fine. The bolt I bought at the FLAPS was a self tapping type so I plan to replace it with a regular bolt at the next the next oil change to minimize the chance of cross-threading.

You folks are a great resource.
