After gently washing my mattress covers and curtains in a front-loading, commercial machine with Woolite, I indeed machine dried them. But only to the point of a remaining trace of dampness; not completely crispy dry. I am happy to report that neither I nor the fabric experienced an unacceptable degree of shrinkage.

REINSTALLATION TIP: When ready to install the fabric covers back onto their mattress pads, you can have your Uncle Leroy the Gator Wrassler do it for you; he'll usually work for a jug of hooch if you pay up front.

Lacking Leroy or the requisite decanter of stump liquor, first slip a large trash bag or similar sheet of plastic wrap around the foam pads, leaving little foam exposed. This slippery sheath will make it fairly easy to slide the fabric cover entirely onto the foam pad, whereupon you can remove the plastic and zip it all up.

Good Luck!

REINSTALLATION TIP #2:

Turn your cover Wrong-side out, and roll it right side out over the foam. The only thing sliding is the cover over itself, and that also works fairly well.
