I usually run straight 30wt, just to avoid that deceleration ramp flicker. I had a very old worn out 1.9 that flickered real badly. Used 50wt. and the flickering problem went away. I realize that heavier oil will not bring back worn away bearing material, but it's nice to not have that light on. Ignorance, even educated ignorance, is bliss.
