Works great till its either, raining, snowing, too cold, too dark, too late, too early, to set up camp. What if you want a quick meal or cup of something at a rest stop on the road? I do carry one of the butane single burner Asian market style portables but I rather enjoy cookin in the westy, especially when snow camping.
