RE: Aux Battery Wiring Dusty, from what you are saying the aux battery was wired RIGHT! It is NOT SUPPOSED TO WORK WITH THE IGNITION OFF! For stock aux battery wiring the only thing that runs off that battery is the refrigerator. If the fridge ran on 12v from the aux battery without the engine running the battery will be run down in two to three hours. Many Westy owners re-wire the interior lights, radio and cigarette lighter to run off the aux battery but NOT the fridge. Many people have reported that the refrigerator fan will runn all by itself in hot weather regardless of what setting the refrigerator in on. That has not been my experience but the only time I'd be around to notice is when I have the refrigerator turned on.
