Wasn't the original comment about economics? Not politics, you liberals, commies and right-wingers. The fact is the U.S. debt stands at close to $8 trillion and grows by $1.8 billion every day. If the foreign holders of this debt were to call it in, the U.S. would be doomed. Well, and the rest of the world economy would also. But my point is that the record deficits of the last 10-12 years and the accumulated debt will eventually undermine any semblance of the good life that Americans (well some Americans) now enjoy.
