Well, if you want to buy no-name cheaps**t tires, go ahead and buy Nokians, Barums or Nyet Skids. You take your (and others') lives in your hands then every time you hit the road.

The Chinese are making lots of top stuff, usually for Japanese manufacturers eg Sony, Canon, Minolta etc. "Made in China" is no longer a joke. The market is also swamped with decent clothing from China too. These are most certainly not being kept for the Chinese market!

Of COURSE a lot of junk is made there too, crappy kettles, microwaves etc eg Cascade brand. But hey, is there no junk being made in USA, England or Germany?

But don't knock it just because it's made in China. Remember back when the ignorant called cars from Asia "Jap crap"?? (Japanese cars were NEVER junk). -- Andrew Grebneff Dunedin New Zealand Fossil preparator <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut
