my vintage triumph, a '54 tr2 sprung for auto-crossing (but not by or for me) had dual su-h4 (sted lucas) carbs. i was about to fault the writer for citing strombergs -- the stromberg 97 was the favored carb on the classic flathead ford & merc hot rods of the 1950s-- when google advised that the spitfire indeed had a version of the stromberg. for all the good it did the spitfire...
