Me, too. I went to the trouble of installing a digital temp probe in
the fridge and in heat like that, it was reading in the mid 50's. In
the past, we usually have packed a cooler full of ice and used the
fridge for stuff not needing real cold temps. But last weekend I went
solo up to the Sierras without the cooler and regretted that omission.
It was over 100 for the tree days I was out and reached 110 in the Sac.
valley at one point. As it was, the AC relay shut down to let the
engine cool and there is no way the electrical system would be OK with
the fridge running on DC, so I was risking it by leaving the LP on
while driving. Not a good idea if you happen to crash!

So, from now on, a cooler goes with me and I will be enjoying cold
drinks with lots of ice!!!

PS I understand some of you have gone to the trouble to put fans inside
and in the back to increase efficiency and can actually make ice. Can
anyone do that in 100+ heat?
