Hi All got a few Questions and issues: 1st i did a motor swap on my 85 westi with a motor from a 84 westi that did a convertion. motor had a compression check and check with flying colors. ive been sorting through the issues on how it is running little by little. it runs fair but stumbles and hesitates on accel once over 2k seems to run good, runs crappier when cold. idles fine warm or cold. sorta slow off the line from a stop. as of today i have found and corrected the item listed below:

*had fuel injectors rebuilt to stock specs with all new seal made no difference in running * found that my intake boot from the trottle body was gapping when i had to force the hose on another fitting i must have popped it off so i had a intake leak before the throttle body. corrected ran a little better * found the exhaust leak on the #2 exhaust pipe and corrected it. * retimed motor but still it stumbles on idle lightly and when you have it under load seems to drop off/ hesitate/lack of power/slow response.

so here is my question.

* Timing with the idle stab. plugged to itself and timing light set at 0 advance what mark am i to look at. ive been using the one closest to the engine case which i believe to be the correct one. did i retard it to much????

* i did the AFM syndrome fix ages ago. but the afm bounces when idling since i can still remove the top cover that is suppose to siliconed on. it acts like the AFM is not connected till i get up the rpm. any checks to make??

* i keep plugging away on this and im slowly gaining but it is taking time. could it be a temp sensor?? i need to pull out the bentley and check sensor resistance next. the bus doesnt leak oil or coolant. doesnt overheat but the oil light will flicker after it is at idle after warming up. had the same issue on a 86. i did change to a thicker oil and it is not nearly as bad but still flickers a little.

any help would be great thanks Jonce
