Subject: Need coolant
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Just returned from a couple thousand miles worth of camping, and am heading out in a couple days for a nice week long trip with my 17 year old son (who just landed his first job, yay!).

Mellow Yellow needed a quart of oil, and the expansion tank (behind the license plate) is below minimum. This worries me a bit, since I just had the heads done, the system pressure tested, and there are no visible leaks.

I have one (1) bottle of real German coolant ("Pentosin Lifetime Antifreeze, phosphate and silicate free.") Which I'd just as soon not use right now. I like the security of packing it in Mellow Yellow for those times I am not near a FLAPS.

I'm near a FLAPS right now . . . what's a good FLAPS coolant that Vanagon WBX's like?
