From what I've heard, the full Westy didn't come with a second battery. The wolfsburg weekender poptop, though, with the removable electric cooler that fit behind the passenger seat, came with dual batteries and the second battery powered that little cooler. The original westy set up is fridge on 12v only while running off alternator, as there's no way a bettery could run the full westy fridge for very long. Dual battery may have been an option, but was never meant for the fridge.
