George, I wouldn't be worried about it falling off as much as the way it will affect the handling in any emergency maneuver. Imagine a wet road and having to hit the brakes while in a turn. It would look like the movies when the rear suddenly becomes the front. I almost did the jack knife thing towing a Rabbit. And that was on dry pavement. I do think your first response was a bit impolite though.
