'88 2.1L Digifant When I manually open the throttle QUICKLY to fully open while at the engine compartment my van hesitates and doesn't react to the throttle. Makes a pretty loud sucking sound from the throttle body. It almost acts like it's about to die when at full throttle and loudly "pops" or backfires inside the throttle body boot. The boot and AFM actually jump when it pops. Throttle Position Switch has been checked with a voltmeter and "clicks" Idle is great right now. Within spec with no hunting. Any thoughts? I think this might be related to some of my recent cutouts with no luck starting after it dies. Got lucky one time after I pushed it to the side of the road. Started up after that but wasn't acting right. Luckily I was 1 block from the house. Thanks for your help Barrett Willet '88 Wolfsburg |
