True, but in that case the vehicle sticker had pressures listed that
were way below the tire max. What Larry Chase was warning against is
using pressures above the tire maximum. The VW Vanagon tire sticker
pressures are reasonable for the size of the tire and load capacity of
the vehicle as long as proper tires are fitted. Over the years the
sticker data turned into a bit of a mess since VW adjusted the sticker
to reflect that tires that actually came on the given year vehicle. Now
we are left to figure out reasonable pressures for tires that are not
the same ones. That is what Larry is working on. Significantly exceeding
the maximum rated pressure of a tire is not reasonable, IMO.
