Started the mandatory fuel line replacement this weekend and I had a few questions for the list. I have lots of notes about the Fuel lines inside the engine compartment but I had questions About the fuel lines between the fire wall and the fuel pump.
From what I observed behind the notorious plastic Tee at the firewall A short length of 7mm fuel line connects the T with a solid plastic fuel line -which runs 3 ft to another short length of 7mm fuel line thereby Connecting to the fuel filter. [?]An additional short length of 7mm fuel line connects fuel pump and Fuel filter? And what is ahead of the fuel pump?
So many people have chimed in about the old fuel lines getting brittle.. What about the solid plastic lines? Any trouble with those? Or once I Get the 7mm sections replaced on BOTH sides of the firewall...I am home free..? [well... Sorta home free... It is a vanagon after all ]
