I think one person's reality shouldn't translate into a reaction to
the actual likelihood that something might happen to someone else.
I'm not really sure how to define reality. I don't watch television
news so my reality is probably different from the reality that exists
in the minds of many others.
Right now, to many people, and (I think) because of 24/7 cable TV
news, there's an assault on white women--they're turning up missing
everywhere you look. Well, they turn up missing on TV at least. Now,
white women everywhere are scared to walk the streets at night when
the statistics would indicate they might be safer now than at anytime
in the last 30 years.
