My 2 cents

I have a cut down reunel truck bumper on the front of my Vanagon and it has a 2" hitch receiver which takes my bike rack nicely. I tried it 2 weeks ago and found it doesn't block my vision entirely, but driving it a night was just too scary. I can drive with it in the day, but not the night, I have decided to use the rack on the rear tube bumper from Volks cafe. Mock up your bike on the front of the van before you buy/employ the front rack. Just set your bikes up on boxes or something and sit in your van to check out your line of sight.

Thank you for your time, Emil
