Larry,

I went the window route a few years ago.  $20 worth of aluminum and some
high density foam and I had a unit that hung nicely in the sliding window
behind the driver's door.

It works fine.  I was just thinking about something different.  A/C & heater
together, plus I can use it elsewhere.  Additionally, the 9000 BTUs is
nearly double the output of the small window units.

Jeff,  A couple of weeks ago I got one of Terry K's window AC units.  They
are a bit pricey but the workmanship is excellent and it works great.  Takes
me exactly 3 minutes to set it up and get it going.  I've been stress
testing it in temps as high as 113F.  Yup .. Terry is a character ... but
some of his stuff is really well designed and made.  larry chase
