Jeff that's a really nice job. Another clever idea I saw is to use attach a spare seat belt to the top of the AC unit then clip into the buckle on the driver seat. This balanced the unit from falling out the window just in case.

With all the AC talk recently, I've had a few people ask about how I built my AC bracket for my Wolfy, so I took a quick picture of the bracket.

The picture shows just the frame on one of my parts vans. The AC unit I use is at home so you'll just have to use your imagination on how it sits.

I built it in an hour or so, using ~$20 worth of aluminum and other bits from Home Despot. I used aluminum stock (flat and 90 degree angle) to build a folding frame. It was built to fit one of the small 5000BTU AC units you find at Costco. The small gap that is left at the top is filled with a piece of high density foam.

The frame was built for a Wolfsburg so it won't fit on a Westy with the smaller sliding windows. Nothing against Westies, I just prefer to use a Carat of Wolfy since I tend to stay in one place and don't like cooking inside.

Cheers,

Jeff
