Chris,

I had that surgery as well about 3 years ago when I was 45 and I was
back on my bicycle 8 days later. I went in at 7AM and was released at
2PM feeling great. The next day was tough when the most excellent
hospital IV pain killers wore off, but the days following the first
day back got progressively better. I thought it was going to be much
worse than it was.

Don't be spooked by the previous story---it wasn't that bad---for me
anyway. Good luck!
