Hardly true at all; I've known many, mainly diesel owners in rural areas who generally conservative types or specifically Republicans. Sames goes for a lot of ex-military folks whose political leamings were very conservative at least. There's a syncro westy here in town with 1.an NRA sticker 2. A USMC badge 3. an American Flag 4. a Bush/Cheney sign- all in the back window. There's a few notorious right-wingers over on the vwdiesel list, too. Not saying it's good or bad, but that's the way it is.
