OK - after testing it myself, I took my van and switch to a real auto electric shop and he said no power is going to the switch.

All the fuses on the front fuse panel are ok.

He printed the wiring diagram and gave it to me (as my Bently goes to 84 and my van is an 85) (does anyone have the one which includes 85 for sale?)

We nosed around in the back and didn't find any other fuses.

He noted there might be a relay - does anyone know where that is?

My mechanic had hot wired the compressor and said it was fine - just needed recharging.

We think we recharged it.

I think, from what some kind people on the list have told me, that it is too old for the low pressure switch.

One one question is - where does the power come from that powers the switch?

I'm leaving Monday for the long hot drive and would love to figure this out!

I did finally find more stuff in the archives when searching under names and "a/c" but not all!

This would be a great topic for a summary, or maybe even a book!

Also, on the T2 list there is a 1979 van for sale in CT.

Andree
