Hello,

I live in Santa Cruz and I might even go so far as to suggest that there may be more Vanagons here than just about any other city or town.....anywhere. Since I bought my Burgundy '90 Westy in May I am much more aware of all the Vanagons in town. I do see some run down ones but the majority of the Vanagons that I see parked in a driveway, in front of a house or driving around tend to be in very good to excellent shape. It also seems that a large percentage of the Vanagons are Westys with quite a few Country Home conversions as well. Most of the other Westy drivers do wave to each other to acknowledge that common shared secret of how great our vehicles are.
