I painted the roof of our grey GL in Pastel White and it made a considerable difference to the solar gain- you can no longer feel heat radiating through the headliner. Our recently acquired 86 Weekender is White all over and you can feel the difference. I made a complete set of foil/bubble/foil window shades (skylight too) and the van doesn't pick up more than 5-6 degrees F when parked in the sun. Highly recommended! Seeya, Jake. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joy Hecht" <jhecht@ALUM.MIT.EDU> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Sunday, August 07, 2005 11:18 AM Subject: painting the poptop with reflective paint
