RE: Painting the top Joy, several list members have painted the top of the top white. That is, mask off about 1/2" in from the edge and paint white. According to the auto paint guy I talked to (I keep threatening to do this) white is better and much cheaper than silver metallic. He had me walk over to two cars in the parking lot, it was a sunny day, and put my hand on a white car and a silver. The white was noticeably cooler than the silver. BTW, I just returned from a week parked in the mountains where the sun was hitting the top of my Westy most of the day. I tie a Space Blanket ove the top to keep the heat down inside. But I'm still promising myself to get the top painted white, just trying to decide if I want to do it myself or pay someone to do it.
