If it's desirable, you can be sure they'll tow it. A friend lost his Acura from in front of his office building in NC. Witnesses saw a rollback pull up, load it and drive off. Said it seemed 'normal' at the time. Police there noted that a ring was stealing a lot of cars around there at the time. All in the same way. Alot of these are strategic thefts -- the car (or more likely the parts) already had a waiting buyer. Seems a 12k westy would fit that bill!
