for those adding the vanagon OEM upper steering column cover w/ switch hole - as to Robert K.'s reminder, the switches that work in that hole are VW A1 switches. in other words, the only switches that will work in that hole are from the following A1 vw's: -'76-'88 scirocco - '80-'93 rabbit convertible/ cabriolet -81-84 jetta 1 switches from a rabbit sedan wont work. (even tho rabbit is a A1 and similar to the rabbit conv./cabriolet, the rabbit sedan's dash instrumentation is totally different from the convertibles) the heated seat switch for the vanagon, is the same heated seat switch as a '93 cabriolet collectors edition. good luck finding one of those.. there is an optional foglight switch for the above A1 vw's, the part number is: ZVW123261A which fits right in the vanagon column cover hole, as well as the A1 hazard, and rear defroster switches, which also fit in the vanagon column cover hole. technically you can use a A1 rear def. switch as a foglight switch as well. hope this helps.. chris |
